Several areas in Wisconsin such as Eau Claire, Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee and others have a significant number of drug and alcohol rehab facilities. These are places where you can live as a resident until you return back to sober living or you can visit for counseling and get treated that way.

But it is never advisable to directly start thinking of the rehab option. If you are getting so much used to a substance like alcohol or drugs that you just cannot give them up, you need to first see whether it is an addiction. You may not be able to assess this yourself and that is where the substance abuse helpline numbers come in handy. They will answer any doubt regarding your substance abuse, and will even tell you where you can get treatment. You can very easily find helpline numbers for substance abuse in Wisconsin if you follow these suggestions. The first place to look into would be your local healthcare institution. These numbers are always displayed there. You can also try asking your family doctor. There are chances the doctor will know of such numbers and even refer some good places for treatment. One more place to check is your church notice board. Alcoholics Anonymous, for instance, publicizes its helpline numbers quite prominently on church notice boards.

The Internet is an option too. Just search with a string like “drug abuse in Wisconsin” or “alcohol abuse in Wisconsin” and you will surely get a lot of helpline numbers to use. These helpline numbers will be 800 numbers and they will be 24/7, so you will definitely have no problems in using them.

We are not interested in selling you anything. We provide facilities where you can get addiction recovery. This is a treatment center where addiction and drug abuse are treated seriously. Alcoholism and drug abuse will be treated seriously. Beyond treatment comes the recovery. Then comes the final stage, rehabilitation. Getting you in a place where you can properly recover is more important than selling you a gimmick.

Treatment is important. We certainly aren’t here to minimize any aspect of recovery. It is, however, valuable to know the value of each. The better you understand the process going in, the better you are going to do in it. The treatment is the methodology used to get you to stop using drugs. Each facility has their own style. We pride ourselves on using a wide range of techniques. Knowing that some techniques will suit one addict while others will find those same techniques difficult. This wide spread open-mindedness is what has made us a success with addiction rehabilitation.

Many substance abuse treatment programs only address the treatment of addiction. As the addiction treatment begins to show success the natural result is recovery. The recovery stage is when portions of the old you begin to regain control from the addict on the exterior. Instead of taking these initial glimmers as a final solution, we make sure all of the addicts under our care achieve full recovery. By making sure the addict knows what got them into addiction in the first place, they are better prepared to never return to drug abuse.

Eventually the addict will reach a clear headed, competent level. We then work with them on lifelong rehabilitation skills. This is where we change the aspects of who they were mentally and emotionally prior to drug use. Addressing the portions of the person that were susceptible to drug use is crucial.

Most people have heard about performing interventions in order to get an addict to seek help for their alcoholism and drug abuse. The goal of these sessions is generally to get the person involved in an inpatient rehabilitation program. They are a type of short-term therapy intended to begin fixing a problem immediatelyA lesser known type of intervention is called the indirect intervention. These are set up for the friends and family members of an addict. The intention is to encourage loved ones to stop being co-dependent in their relationships with the addict. They are taught more effective methods for helping the individual with his or her addictions. The friends and family as well as the addict can benefit from doing this.

A professional who is specifically trained in this field should be involved in the indirect intervention. The counselor will be able to pass on specific tools and resources to teach loved ones how to deal with the addict more effectively. For example, many people fall into the trap of giving money to someone suffering from alcoholism and drug abuse. They may try to protect the individual from the consequences of their drug addiction in many ways. Unhealthy emotional relationships evolve when there is an addict in the family. Co-dependence is an easy trap to fall into, but it makes it more comfortable for the individual to continue in a lifestyle of addiction.

Indirect interventions are supposed to encourage long-term change in the family environment. It is very painful for loved ones to feel they are watching from the sidelines as their son, wife, or parent destroys their own life. The hope is that friends and family members will learn to handle the situation better, which will in turn lead to the addict seeking an addiction treatment center. If this doesn’t happen, indirect intervention at least teaches the family to cope with their own feelings better.
